DESCRIPTION:The International Women's Day Business Breakfast will involve a number of key guest speakers including Anna Burke MP (Politician&nbsp\;and Former Speaker of the House of Representatives)&nbsp\;who will explore and provide tips on overcoming challenges currently facing women.&nbsp\;All profits will be dedicated to Impact For Women. Impact aims to:- To raise awareness that domestic violence is a real issue in contemporary Australia.- To provide Victorian women &amp\; children in crisis accommodation due to domestic violence with those things most of us take for granted.- To enable interested men\, women\, families\, organisations and businesses to work together to make a difference to those impact works for.- To change society's attitudes that allow violence against women and children to continue to occur.- To generally encourage volunteerism and philanthropy to better our world.

Background
In 1910 at the International Conference of Working Women in Copenhagen an idea was tabled to hold an International Women's day where every year in every country there should be a celebration to push for the demands of women such as the right to work and vote and to end discrimination. International Women's Day is now celebrated globally each year on 8 March with organisations and governments holding a diverse range of activities and events to inspire and celebration women and their achievements.
